Lanky defender, ThankGod Ike, scored the first goal for wolves, while Uremu Ebgeta, Gift Atulewa, Bright Obada completed the routing of the Port Harcourt team.
ThankGod Amiefule’s goal through a penalty kick was the only consolation for Sharks FC in the one sided encounter.
Timi Ebikagboro, media officer for Wolves, told Premium Times in a phone chat that the comprehensive victory in the reschedule game was a welcome development for Wolves who are struggling to pick up their season after crashing out in the CAF confederation Cup.
“It is a good sign that we have gotten over the disappointment of losing out on the continent.
“Our focus is now to concentrate on the two fronts which we are competing locally which is the league and the Federation cup, by God’s grace we can still end the season with a silverware,” he said.
Meanwhile, in other rescheduled matches, Kwara Utd piped Sunshine Stars 1-0.
Wednesday’s game was the week 12 fixture between both sides that ended in violence earlier in the year which the Nigeria football federation disciplinary committee ordered a replay.
Also in Owerri, Heartland FC and Ocean Boys had their rescheduled Week 20 game in which the Naze Millionaires got a 1-0 win over the relegation threatened Ocean boys team.
