Nigeria U20 coach, John Obuh, has named a 25-man squad for an invitational tournament in Cape Town, South Africa, beginning May 24.
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are drawn in a first round group that has Argentina, Ghana and hosts South Africa.
They won the inaugural competition last year and they begin their title defence on Wednesday against perennial rivals Ghana.
On May 27, they take on Argentina and two days they will be up against South Africa to round up the first round. The final of the tournament will be played on June 3.
On Thursday, the Flying Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by Nigeria Premier League side Kaduna United in a warm-up game played in Abuja.
