The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, on Thursday commiserated with the former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Galadima, over the death of the latter’s younger brother, Sanusi Galadima.
Sanusi Galadima died on Tuesday after a brief illness.
At the third day prayer for the departed in Kano on Thursday, Mr. Maigari told his predecessor, Mr. Galadinma, to take heart; he then prayed for Allah to grant the soul of late Sanusi Galadima eternal rest.
“On behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation and the entire Nigeria football family, I am here to assure you that we mourn with you on this sad occasion and we pray that God will give you and those that late Sanusi left behind the fortitude to bear the loss,” said Mr. Maigari.
Ibrahim Galadima was a Chairman of then Nigeria Football Association between 2002 and 2006. He was also Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, and remains one of the most respected sports administrators in the country’s history.
Mr. Maigari, on the condolence visit, was accompanied by a member of the NFF Technical Sub-Committee, Garba Illa Ibrahim.
