Five more players have joined the previous 13 in camp as the Super Eagles step up preparations for the May 23 international friendly against Peru in Lima.
The Eagles got down to serious business on Tuesday as they had their first training session at the Practice Pitch of the National Stadium in Abuja, with all the players invited in attendance safe for the injured duo of Solomon Jabason and Shehu Maijema.
Also, all invited players of Heartland of Owerri and Warri Wolves who have crucial CAF Confederation Cup games to play away from home were also given a reprieve by Head Coach, Stephen Keshi.
Keshi said there is no need to rush them to camp, when their teams will be travelling out of the country midweek. The players concerned are imposing defender, Azubuike Egwueke, Sunday Mba and skipper Chigozie Agbim all of Wolves, while Obinna Nwachukwu and goalkeeper Dan Akpeyi are of Heartland. The players are now expected in camp latest Monday next week.
