The list of Nigerian players to be invited to camp for the international friendly with seven-time African Champions, Egypt, will be made public on Friday Premium Times has been informed.
The list, which was earlier scheduled to be released on Wednesday, was pushed forward by the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation.
According to the NFF, invited players are to report to the Bolton White Hotel and Apartments Abuja camp on Monday, April 2, 2012 to start preparations for the game.
Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, had already told the NFF leadership that he was delighted with the friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt, as it would afford him the opportunity of playing his burgeoning home-based side against the all-time African Nations Cup winner.
Keshi off to USA
Meanwhile, after nearly five months of the rigours of managing the Nigerian national team without sighting his family, Eagles boss, Keshi, on Tuesday night departed for the United States to see his family.
There had been fears that Keshi will again miss seeing his family following the institution of a friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt and the heavy schedule that will follow in the month of May and June, with friendlies and qualifiers lined up for the national team.
But after a meeting with the NFF leadership, it was thought that Keshi be allowed to visit his family and join the team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on April 9, on time for the duel that will be played April 12 at the same venue.
In Keshi’s absence, Dan ‘the Bull’ Amokachi, will take charge of the team alongside Sylvanus Okpala, Hyndounou Valere and Ike Shorunmu.
