Raiu Ali, wearing jersey no 10, opened scoring in the 45th minutes of the entertaining encounter through a penalty when pillars striker, Gambo Mohammed, wearing jersey no 9, was brought down in the six yard box.
The home side dominated the mid –field in the first half but could not increase their tally until the referees whistle went for the end of the first half.
Manir Ubale wearing jersey no 11, took advantage of defensive error by Enyimba defender and doubled the lead for the home side in the 66th minutes to the cheers of the fanatical pillars fans.
Meanwhile the sweat merchant of Kano pillars Babaganaru Mohammed, expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boy’s for picking maximum points.
“I am delighted because the lads played very well and I am proud of their fighting spirit”.
“We started the match with a total inspiration of mass attack and mass defence and we kept this on for much of the duration of the match and I can say we were much better in the second half of the match.
“I want to commend Enyimba players for giving us a tough fight. They played very well.’’
Meanwhile, Enyimba’s coach, Abdullahi Maikaba, and technical adviser, Austin Eguavoen, shunned post-match comments.
