The world football governing body, FIFA, has filed a criminal complaint against British comedian, Simon Brodkin, for trespassing, the Zurich city police said on Tuesday.
Mr. Brodkin crashed a press conference held by FIFA President Joseph Blatter at the organisation’s headquarters in Zurich and showered the 79-year-old Swiss in heaps of fake dollar bills.
“This is for North Korea 2026,” he said.
“As an ambassador for North Korean football, I am happy to conclude the deal between FIFA and North Korea for the 2026 World Cup,” Mr. Brodkin said.
However, Mr. Brodkin was taken to a police station after the incident and was questioned before being released.
The Swiss prosecutor’s office would now decide whether to proceed with charges against him.
