Nigerian Premier League Champions, Kano Pillars, defeated the Ghanaian U23 national team 1-0 in a friendly match in Accra on Saturday.
Pillars last week stormed Ghana for a training tour as they intensify preparations for this year’s edition of the CAF Champions League.
It was Rabiu Ali who scored Pillars only goal from the penalty spot in the game played at the Accra township stadium.
Kano Pillars are now expected to return to Nigeria on Sunday or Monday to put finishing touches to their trip to South Sudan, where they face Al-Malakia FC in the first leg, preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on the weekend of February 13, 14 and 15.
The Nigerian champions will play hosts to the South Sudanese club on March 1 in Kano.
