Al Ahly’s newly signed Nigerian striker, Peter Ebimobowei, scored his first goal for the team on Saturday in a 3-1 win over Ittihad El-Shorta club in the Egyptian League.
Ebimobowei, a former Bayelsa United player, scored the goal in his second appearance since he joined the club in January. Prior to Saturday’s match, Ebimobowei only played a 10 minute game during a midweek match.
The striker scored the first goal for Al Ahly in the 40th minute of the encounter and was later substituted in the 70th minute.
Ebimobowei finished the last league season as the third highest goal scorer before he was snatched by the North African giants.
Al Ahly is currently third on the Egyptian Premier League table.
