The head coach of the Nigeria U20 Flying Eagles, Manu Garba, has said his team will not underrate or overrate any country at the African Youth Championship in Senegal.
Mr. Garba nonetheless believes in the ability of the team he has assembled. He stated that he was confident in them winning all their matches.
“In any of the matches we will play in, we will not underrate or overrate opponents we are always confident of emerging victorious in all our matches,” he said
Speaking further with PREMIUM TIMES, the 2013 U17 World Cup winning coach said he and the rest of the Flying Eagles technical crew were doing everything possible to help the players get better.
“We can only boost the morale of players by helping them. No matter what a player must not lose his temper,” he said. “Honestly we have been working on fitness we make sure they are fit, we start training them from the basics, we make sure we polish their skills to improve their skills, if you have a player that listens too it will make your job as a coach easier.”
