The President of the Nigeria Football Federation [NFF], Amaju Pinnick, has refuted rumours that he has a Facebook account.

“My attention has been drawn to an account on the popular, interactive social media channel Facebook, which carries my name and photograph.

“I wish to state categorically that I am not the owner of that account. One impostor somewhere is using my name and photograph.

Mr. Pinnick says while he is not against social media, he currently does not utilise the medium.

“I am not against the use of social media but I want to make it clear that I do not have any account on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I want to alert my friends and associates, as well as the football community in Nigeria and around the world, that the said Facebook account is not mine and not being run by anyone authorized by me.”
