Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche, has extended his contract with Villarreal till 2017.
The 30-year-old revealed the development on his Twitter page.
He said he was excited at the prospect of staying on with the Yellow Submarines for at least another two seasons.
“I feel very happy for my renewal with @VillarrealCF until 2017! I will do my best to help the team!” the 30-year old wrote on Thursday.
Uche’s initial deal at El Madrigal was meant to run out at the end of the current campaign, but the former Getafe and Real Zaragoza forward has now committed his future to the Castellon club.
The Nigerian striker has scored 14 league goals for Villarreal in each of the last two seasons and already has a handful of goals to his name this term also.
Villarreal will be playing against Deportivo La Coruna in the next round of matches in the La Liga and Uche will be more than glad to celebrate his new deal with another master class performance.
