Nigerian League: Unpaid Kaduna United players defeat Gombe United

Despite protesting their unpaid salaries days earlier, the players of Kaduna United put their problems behind them to defeat Gombe United 3-0 on Sunday.

The Week 29 league match was played in Kaduna.

The Kaduna United players last week took to the streets of Kaduna to protest their unpaid one year salary.

In other matches, Heartland FC held former league champion, Enyimba International, to a goalless draw at home; while Kano Pillars retained their first spot on the table after a 2-0 victory at home over visiting Lobi Stars.

Struggling FC Taraba lost 0-1 to Rangers International. The only goal was scored by Osaguona Ighodalo.

Nembe City also played a 1-1 draw at home with visiting Crown FC of Ibadan.
