Nigerian League: Top scorer, Osagona, suspended for one match

The current highest goal scorer in the 24 week old Nigeria Premier League 2013/14 season, Osagona Ighodalo, has been suspended for one match and would not be playing this weekend.

The Enugu Rangers striker accumulated two yellow cards in previous matches and, according to the rule of the game, is not eligible to play in this weekend’s match against Sunshine Stars in Akure.

Enugu Rangers is expected to feature any of the trio of Christian Obizor, Chidi Edeh and Samuel Agba in place of the suspended striker.

Ighodalo tops the league’s goal scoring chart with 13 goals, followed by Gbolahan Salami with 11 goals.

The duo has been invited to the Super Eagles to play against Rwanda/Congo/Sudan and South Africa for the 2015 Cup of Nations qualifier.
