Nigerian League: Taraba FC hopes to pick more away points

Taraba FC

Nigerian league side, FC Taraba, has announced it is working hard to grab more away points in the second round of the 2013/14 league season.

Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES in Abuja on Monday, the spokesperson of the club, Martin Odiete, reiterated the management’s worry over losses in away matches during the first round of the league season.

“The club is bothered that we are not picking away points. We have started working on picking away points. We want to go and win El Kanemi Warriors in Kano; it’s a neutral place. At least a point in an away match will be okay for us,” he said.

The club sat on the top three spot on the league table before it fell to its present 12th position.

“We are not contending for laurels or continental ticket, we just want to finish well and remain as a premier league club. We want to avoid relegation,” he explained.

Mr. Odiete also accused the club’s players of a lack of fighting spirit.

“No secret, our boys come out to play and come out to give their best.

Unfortunately, when we go out, they don’t come out of their shell. We have only lost once at home, to Giwa FC. Apart from that, we have won all our home matches.

With the new seven players that we bought, I believe we will do better in our away games,” he concluded of his team that was promoted to the elite league at the beginning the season.

    Unbelievable….

  • Stomach Infrastructure

Lies and local alcohol has never been a good combination. Those that knows Dumbo should advise him to change his ways. Anyway, change is coming to Nigeria, come February 14, 2015. One way ticket to otuoke is ready.

Change to drugs, lies, deceit, facism, jihadist, ethnicist, N1 billion for 1 kilometer arterial road, jailing of non tribesmen, certificate forgery and affidavit fraud, Alfa Beta to replace direct online payment of taxes, Folashade to collect all local Government fee, conversion of all Nigeria lands for personal use or hand over of presidency to a drug baron because of the low level education of a candidate?

      Anyway, God no gree o.

The man said his generation, including him, has failed Nigerians but wants their vote again so that he can fail them again. Someone, please help me out here! Does GEJ listen to himself at all?

  • Tunde

This is really sad. This GEJ has no substance whatsoever. Is this the best his handlers can do? Abject failure, and he has the temerity to ask for votes for another dispensation. absolutely deluded. 6 years and nothing to show for it. The person or persons that wrote this speech for him really did him a huge disservice.
Did he think that by shouting and flailing about, saying absolute nonsense will make him look or sound serious or presidential? I listened to his speech and I was just amazed that this guy is the president of Nigeria. Unbelievable!!.

From available facts, President Jonathan seems to be suffering from cerebral leukemia- a blockage of the flow of reality to the brain, creating a delusional image of popularity and acceptability, hence decisions are irrationally taking without recourse to pragmatic events. The monies Obasanjo refused to pay Lagos LG’s eventually got paid and Fashola gave the monies to the owner (imagine the roguery) – Tinubu.

The National leader of the APC converted Lagos State investment in the then Vmobile directly into his personal account – Ribadu published in 2007 Trinbune.

This same character now decides who heads all councillors and presidential candidates in APC and they want to change us to where?

Immediately Ashafa entered the senate, Tinubu used him to cry that the Third mainland bridge would collapse in few weeks, so the NASS can hand it over to him and Tinubi as constituency project and as conduit, but Onolemheme floored them (crooks)

Tinubu while campaigning in 2003 said he would build forth mainland bridge in four years and a bridge connecting Maryland Under bridge to connect Opebi.

Where are the bridges till today?

Buyers beware, lies are the hallmark of integrity for them

  • Sword of Damocles

I read through almost half of the President’s speech above, and let me tell you I couldn’t stop laughing. When one does not get the opportunity to hear the President speak, and only see pictures, it is shocking and hilarious to hear him in his own words for the first time. It is hard to believe that the man who said those words has a Baccalaureate degree, not to talk of a doctorate of philosophy(that is not honorary). i am as confused as the President.
