The Heartland FC is targeting a continental ticket this season, the team captain, Chinedu Efugh, has said.
Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES, the newly married defender said his team is fully prepared to grab a continental ticket.
“We are fully prepared for the second round, we are going to make sure that we grab a continental ticket this season. Everything is ready we are just working harder to make sure that all this are possible”.
The 28-year-old Efugh praised the strength of his team’s defence saying, “we are not having any problem in the defense, we have a good defense. I can tell you that for now everything is okay but the second
round is going to be another ball game compare to the first round”.
Efugh boasted that all Heartland would “win all our matches, all we need is just luck.”
Heartland FC as at Week 20 sits on the 14th spot on the league table. It has 27 points from 20 played matches.
