Gombe United lost to Kano Pillars.
Coach Ladan Bosso led his Abia Warriors to defeat his former team, Bayelsa United, 3-1.

Bosso coached Bayelsa United last season before he resigned to join Abia Warriors.

Peter Ebimobowei put Bayelsa United ahead when he took advantage of the wet pitch, dribbled a defender, and scored the first goal in the 37th minute.

Ifeanyi Onyeali equalised for the Warriors three minutes later, and the first half ended 1-1.

Ifeanyi Onyeali scored Abia’s second goal in the 57th minute of the game.

Bayelsa tried to get an equaliser before an attacking midfielder scored the third goal for Abia Warriors in the 85th minute.

Gombe United also lost at home 2-3 to Kano Pillars.
