The NFF said the queried it sent out to Keshi was no big deal.
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has said there is no tiff between it and the Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi.
The Chairman of the technical committee of the NFF, Emeka Inyama, at a press briefing in Abuja, discredited last week’s media reports about the ill-relationship it has with Keshi.
“Keshi is a staff of the NFF, we are his employers. We have had a successful and wonderful relationship.
“We also gave him a hefty salary and since he came on board, we have supported him and Keshi in turn, has been fantastic posing wonderful results,” Inyama said.
Inyama said the press conference was convened to clarify issues regarding the NFF’s relationship with Keshi and seeking peace in Nigerian football.
“The issue is that we want to clarify the issue once and for all. We do not have any plan whatsoever to hire a foreign coach or bring anyone else to the technical crew; we have confidence in Stephen Keshi.”
Query worry
Mr. Inyama said though Keshi was queried, there was nothing to worry about since Keshi has responded.
“The query issue has been blown out of proportion and it’s a normal thing to clarify issues and Keshi has even replied. Why will people make news about it, Keshi has the right to invite players and ours issues is to move forward”
The NFF official said Keshi will lead the Super Eagles to Brazil and come back with commendable results.
