Nigerian League: Clubs to be punished for late registration

Late registration attracts a fine.

The Nigerian League Management Company, LMC, has said any club that does not meet the registration deadline for the new season will be fined for six months and made to forfeit six points.

The LMC gave this warning on Tuesday in Abuja and said it was in a bid to ensure the season commences without any hitch.

The LMC also agreed to cover the clubs’ registration fees for the new season as well as pay f the insurance cover of players and officials.

There are 20 teams in the Nigeria Premier League.
