Chelsea humble Manchester City

Manchester City had won all their home matches before Monday.

Chelsea on Monday night defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the Barclays Premier League.

A first half goal by Branislav Ivanovic was all the Jose Mourinho-led side needed to defeat City, who were playing in front of their home fans.

Before the defeat to Chelsea, City had won all their home matches in the league, scoring an average of over two goals per game.

But it was the Mourinho-led team that looked the better and more dangerous side on Monday, having three other shots hit the goal post.

Despite the victory, Chelsea remain on third spot in the league with 53 points, same as City who have a better goal difference to retain second spot.

Arsenal are still on top spot with 55 points.
