Nigeria is aiming for third place
The African Nations Championship, CHAN, Local Organising Committee, LOC, has announced that the President of the world football governing body, FIFA, Sepp Blatter, will arrive South Africa on Friday to watch the final of the tournament.
The final will kick off with the decider for the third and fourth place. The match is between Nigeria and Zimbabwe and will be played after the closing ceremony. The winner of the competition will be decided immediately after the loser’s final.
Ghana qualified for the final after beating Nigeria 4-1 on penalties after regulation time ended 0-0. Libya also edged out Zimbabwe on penalty to book a place in the final.
