The Chairman of the technical Sub-Committee says only the best players will feature at 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The chairman of the technical sub-committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Chris Green, has said that there will be no automatic jersey for any player that will feature in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Mr. Green said “nobody has a jersey as far as we are concerned, the coach will choose the best out of the players, and there is no automatic jersey for any player”.
On the next available FIFA window and Nigeria’s hope of playing a friendly game, he said the Super Eagles will play a South American country.
“We are going to play a South American country…we are taking into consideration a team around us or teams Argentina has played,” he said.
Mr. Chris Green said 2013 was a record breaking year for Nigerian football.
“2013 was wonderful, it has been good for football for Nigeria in sports, from the history that I have from 1945 till date Nigerian has never have it so good in terms of performance, it has been very rosy”.
He said the NFF will ensure that 2014 sustains or surpasses the 2013 tempo.
