Manchester City defeated Fulham 4-2.
Manchester City and neighbours Manchester United kept hopes alive for their Premier League title charge with respective victories against Fulham and West Ham United on Saturday.
While City were 4-2 away winners against Fulham, United were unstoppable posting a 3-1victory over the Hammers to halt a run of two successive home defeats.
Danny Welbeck, Janzuaj and Ashley Young were the scorers for United as they jump to 7th spot with 28 points from 17 games.
In other Saturday games, Shola Ameobi’s Newcastle pummelled Crystal Palace 3-0 away from home. Also, Victor Anichebe and his West Brom teammates failed to make the best of their home advantage as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Hull City.
The other result from Saturday’s games saw Stoke defeating Aston Vila 2-1 while Norwich City and Sunderland ended their duel goalless.
