The draw will be held at 5:00 p.m. Nigerian time.
Players of the Super Eagles have expressed their readiness to confront any team Nigeria is grouped with for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The group draw will be held at 5:00 p.m. Nigerian time with Nigeria and other African countries placed in Pot 2.
Some of the players that spoke with PREMIUM TIMES showed optimism, saying they were not scared of any opposition at football’s greatest competition.
“I am not afraid of any team, it’s just football and we will play it,” Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambrose, said.
Another Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona, shared a similar view as Ambrose.
“I am not scared of any team, remember with God all things are possible, any team that comes we will play them,” Turkey based Oboabona said.
However, Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, said he would prefer that the team is not grouped with the host, Brazil, and South American giant, Argentina.
“Yes, I for one will love to avoid Brazil, Argentina, Spain at this (group) stage.
“But if at the end we get anyone of them, fine, we will play them; because in football anything can or is possible.”
PREMIUM TIMES will live blog the draw on this site.
