Arsenal currently have a seven-point lead at the top of the league.
Super Eagles striker, Osaze Odemwingie, could not rescue the day for his Welsh side Cardiff City as they were handed a 3-0 defeat by in-form Arsenal at their home ground on Saturday evening
Odemwingie was introduced into the game in the 64th minute while his team was a goal down, however his presence on the pitch could not salvage even a point for Cardiff as Arsenal nailed the game in the dying minutes with two late goals to end the Week 13 fixture with a deserved 3-0 win.
German import Mezut Ozil was again the life-wire for the Gunners as he provided the assists for the first two goals while Theo Walcott helped out with the third goal.
In Saturday’s outing, Aaron Ramsey continued his scoring spree as he got a brace against his former team and Mathieu Flamini got the other goal to secure all three points for the Gunners who now enjoy a ‘momentary’ seven-point advantage at the top of the EPL table with 31 points from 13 games.
In other games on Saturday, Everton smashed visiting Stoke City 4-0, while West Ham were also big winners defeating Fulham 3-0.
Aston Villa and Sunderland ended their game goalless while Norwich City piped Crystal Palace by a lone goal.
