Senegal’s football coach, Alain Giresse, on Wednesday in Dakar named 23 players for the first leg of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Playoff fixture against Cote D’Ivoire.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match will be played in Abidjan on October 12, with the second leg scheduled for Dakar between November 15 and 19.
The following is the list of invitees:
Goalkeepers: Bouna Coundoul (Ethnikos, Cyprius), Cheikh Ndiaye (Rennes, France), Issa Ndoye (Creteil, France).
Defenders: Lamine Gassama (Lorient, France), Issa Cissokho and Pape Mison Djilobodji (FC Nantes, France), Lamine Sane (Bordeaux, France) and Cheikh Kouyate (Anderlecht, Belgium).
Other defenders are Kara Mbodj (Genk, Belgium), Cheikh Mbengue (Toulouse, France) and Pape Souare (Lille, France).
Midfielders: Mouhamed Diame (West Ham, UK), Idrissa Gueye (Lille, France), Salif Sane (Hannover, Germany), Stephane Badji (SK Bramm, Norway), Alfred Ndiaye (Eskishirspor, Turkey).
Strikers: Sadio Mane (Salzburg Red Bull, Austria), Moussa Sow (Fenerbahce, Turkey), Dame Ndoye (Lokomotiv Moscow, Russia) and Papiss Cisse (Newcastle, UK).
The rest are Modou Sougou (Evian, France), Ibrahima Balde (Kuban Krasnodar, Russia) and Henri Saivet (Bordeaux, France).
