The Sports Minister was a former Youth Development Minister.
The Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, has been asked to supervise the Ministry of Youth Development.
The decision was taken at Wednesday’s meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation held in Abuja.
Mr. Abdullahi replaces the former Minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdulkadir, who was sacked on Monday.
The sports minister’s additional task was confirmed by one of his aide’s, Ohimai Amaize, who stated it on his twitter handle.
“Congratulations to @BolajiAbdullahi who has just been appointed Supervising Minister of Youth Development alongside his current portfolio,” he said.
Mr. Abdullahi was a former Youth Development Minister before his appointment as Sports Minister prior to the commencement of the London 2012 Olympics.
