The matches will now be played on Sunday.
The League Management Company (LMC) on Thursday in Abuja announced it had shifted for 24 hours all week 21 matches in the 2012/2013 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Kasali Obanoyen, Head of Media Unit of LMC, said the decision was due to an international match involving the Super Eagles on Saturday in Kaduna.
The NPFL week 21 matches were earlier scheduled for Saturday, July 6 at 10 venues across the country.
However, the Super Eagles are also billed to host the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire on Saturday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
The match is the first leg tie in the final round of the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying competition.
“All the matches in the NPFL have now been moved to Sunday, July 7,’’ Mr. Obanoyen said in a statement.
In some of the matches, Kano Pillars FC will host Wikki Tourists of Bauchi while Kwara United of Ilorin will be visiting Sunshine Stars in Akure.
Sharks FC of Port Harcourt will also host Warri Wolves, while Rangers International FC of Enugu will be visiting Enyimba International FC of Aba.
