The English midfielder has been at Chelsea since 2001.
Frank Lampard, 34, is to finally sign a new contract to stay at Chelsea for another season.
The England international midfielder became the Blues’ all time highest goal scorer at the weekend with a fine strike against Aston Villa, which was his 203rd goal in all competitions for the club, overtaking Bobby Tambling’s record of 202 goals.
Lampard signed for Chelsea in 2001, and over the last twelve years has proven himself to be one of the best midfielders in the world, coming second in both the 2005 Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of The Year awards to Ronaldinho.
There had been reports that he would leave Chelsea at the expiration of his current contract at the end of the season.
