Bayern Munich is to play their Champions League final match-up against Borussia Dortmund without several of their star players.
Bayern and Dortmund qualified for the May 25 Champions League final midweek, but will face each other in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Bayern have already won the championship and Dortmund are all but guaranteed of finishing second.
Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes said on Friday that internationals Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, who are all carrying slight injuries, will not be travelling to Dortmund.
He said that with players like Mario Gomez or Claudio Pizarro, they would still have top class players on the field and that he did not expect Dortmund to have all their regular starters involved in the match.
Heynckes said that he did not regard the match on Saturday to be a dress rehearsal for the Champions League final in Wembley Stadium.
“The game on Saturday has no bearing on the Champions League final whatsoever.”
