The coach said Dortmund were the better side.
Real Madrid Manager, Jose Mourinho, has said his side can still qualify for the Champions League Final despite losing the first leg of their semi final, 4-1, to Borrusia Dortmund.
The Portuguese coach told Sky Sports after the match in Germany on Wednesday night that his team could still progress with a huge victory in next week’s second leg.
“It is of course very difficult but in football it can happen. Of course we can, on a crazy night, where everyone performs at a high level and every chance you have and every goal you score is with a high level of efficiency. Of course you can,” he said
Mourinho also commended Robert Lewandowski, the Polish striker who scored all four goals against Madrid; and the Dortmund side describing the victors as the better team of the night.
“I think they were the best team by far and won every individual battle on the pitch and were stronger than us, more aggressive physically and tougher mentally so they deserved it,” Mourinho said.
