Kaduna United have now garnered seven points from six games.
All the home teams, save for Warri Wolves, secured victories in Thursday’s Nigeria Professional League remaining Week 6 fixtures played across the country.
Wolves were held at home for the umpteenth time to a 1-1 draw by newly promoted Nembe City at the Warri City Stadium and have thus gone 6 matches without a win to earn the unenviable tag of draw specialists .
At the Kaduna Township Stadium, host Kaduna United handed Enyimba a 1-0 defeat to improve their fortunes on the League table.
Peter Onoja scored for Kaduna United in the 53rd minute and it was enough to seal all three points and avoid the heartache of a draw or loss at home.
Kaduna United have now garnered seven points from six games played this term, while Enyimba remain on eight points from same number of games
In Makurdi, Lobi Stars FC shrugged off their 7-1 loss to Liga Muculmana in the CAF Confederation cup last weekend to beat Sharks FC 2-0.
Lobi opened score in the 22nd minute through Gberinder Forgive; and Barnabas Imenger doubled the score for the Makurdi side with just two minutes to the end of the first period.
The latest victory has earned Lobi Stars nine points from five games, with one game in hand.
In Yenegoa, it was another tale of away loss for Shooting Stars who despite finally getting their first away goal slumped to a 3-1 defeat in the hands of their host, Bayelsa United.
The newly promoted Bayelsa side showed no respect for the former African Champions, scoring two goals in the first half and another in the second half to secure maximum points.
Richard Amnayi in the 11th minute , Gomo Onduku in the 31st minute and Chigozie Christopher in the 71st minute, from the penalty spot, were the goal scorers for Bayelsa United; while Shooting Stars’ consolatory goal came off the boots of Tony Edjomarigwe with 2 minutes left on the clock.
Week 7 matches of the League come up Saturday and Sunday across Nigeria.
