The victors defeated Galatasary and Malaga.
Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night booked the first set of semi final ticket for this season’s UEFA Champions League after going past Galatasary and Malaga respectively
Madrid survived a second half torrent of goals to make it to the last four after losing 3-2 to a resurgent Galatasaray in a game played at the Turk Telekom Arena in Turkey.
The Spanish giants made it seem it will be a stroll in the park when Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 10th Champions League goal after just seven minutes, after being played in by Sami Khedira.
The goal gave Madrid a four-goal cushion, and they held that advantage unto the half. But things almost turned awry for the visitors in the second half.
The host scored thrice through Emmanuel Eboue, Wesley Sneijder, and Didier Drogba to make it 3-1.
Ronaldo, however, scored his second of the night in the 90th minute to hand Real Madrid a 5-3 aggregate win.
In the other game Dortmund came from behind to secure a 3-2 win over Malaga. The hosts scored two last minute goals to defeat their visitors. The result was good enough to earn them a place in the last four having played a goalless draw in the first leg in Spain.
