The Super Eagles Head Coach expressed his gratitude for the support the team has received so far from Nigerians.
“Every player in this camp has to prove himself otherwise, they won’t be part of the team. We are just going see who’s in better shape for tomorrow’s game,” Keshi told PREMIUM TIMES.
“The players are all here. We don’t understand Kenya but we are professionals, we just have to do what we have to do. We need to go out there tomorrow and make Nigeria proud.”
Talking about his attitude after his victory in South Africa, the coach said, “I’m still the same Stephen Keshi. After AFCON, there’s no difference. I’m just doing my work.”
He praised the support he has received so far from Nigerians saying, ‘Nigerians have been awesome. Calabar people are cheering the Eagles and showing full support, I’m so happy about that.”
Reacting to the state of the Abuja Stadium which is under rehabilitation, he said ‘If Abuja Stadium is ready we might move there but if it’s not ready, I will stick to Calabar because the pitch is lush green.”
