The stage is set for 2014 World Cup Qualifying match between Nigeria and Kenya.
The Harambee Stars of Kenya, Nigeria’s opponent at the 2014 World Cup qualifier, are expected in Calabar, Nigeria on March 19.
The Medical Director of Kenya Football Limited, KFL, John Kariuki, made the announcement on the radio station, Brila FM.
He said the 20-man Kenyan team will arrive in Lagos on March 19, and depart for Calabar through a direct flight on the same day
“We have been told by the NFF that we would be flown to Calabar as soon as we hit Lagos on 19 March via a direct flight,” Mr. Kariuki said.
“Our aim is to beat Eagles after which we can then look to the next matches against Namibia,” he boasted on air.
Meanwhile, the newly invited Super Eagles player, John Ogu, and AFCON hero, Ahmed Musa, have exclusively told Premium Times that they will hit the Super Eagles camp on Tuesday.
Ogu expressed excitement saying, “I will be in Lagos on Monday and will leave for Calabar on Tuesday morning, I am so excited I can’t wait to join the rest of the team; I am 100 per cent ready for the national team.”
Musa also said he is ready to give his best saying, “I will arrive camp on Tuesday. I am ready for action and success.”
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play against the Harambee Stars of Kenya at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State on March 23.
