American club pays N600mn for Obafemi Martins

The Nigerian striker had shown his interest to move to the U.S.

Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins, may no longer play for Levante, a Spanish Primera League side.

According to Levante’s official website, es.levanteud.com , a club in the Major League Soccer in the U.S., Seattle Sounders, have paid the striker’s buyout clause of €3 million (N600 million).

Martins, who recently indicated his interest to move to the U.S., has been invited by Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, for the World Cup qualifier against Kenya later this month.
