Godfrey Oboabona gets another gift for his performance at the 2013 AFCON game.

Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has presented the keys to a bungalow and a cheque of N1 million to Super Eagles defender and Sunshine International Football Club Captain, Godfrey Oboabona.

This is in fulfillment of the promise he made last week.

Oboabona, who was born in Ondo Town, moved from the Ondo State Football Academy to Rising Stars and then went on to the Sunshine Stars, all in Akure, where he eventually became the captain of the club.

Governor Mimiko said that Oboabona deserved to be honoured for doing the state and the nation proud in the last Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, where Nigeria emerged champions.

The governor charged him to be more hardworking and remain humble, assuring him of government’s support in his football career.

The Super Eagles Defender promised to continue to do his best for football development in the State and the country.
