The Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Bolaji Abdullahi, has asked the Super Eagles to put the disappointment of their game against the Stallions of Burkina Faso behind them and focus on winning their next match.
In a message to the team in South Africa on Tuesday, the Minister said it is natural for the players to feel frustrated after the game with the Stallion on Monday, especially as the Super Eagles were at the cusp of victory.
“However, you must put that behind you now and concentrate on thrashing the ‘Chipopolo’ of Zambia,” the Minister said.
The minister said he is sure the Super Eagles have what it takes to make Nigeria proud at the competition, and assured the team of the continuous support of Nigerians.
Nigeria will play her second match of the competition against Zambia on Friday.
