The Super Eagles are ready to take on Cape Verde in an international friendly.
The Nigerian National Team, Super Eagles, are optimistic about the friendly match that will be played against Cape Verde in Faro, Portugal on Wednesday evening.
Some of the players who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES ahead of the match said they believed the Eagles would be victorious.
“My expectation is victory by God’s Grace, nothing more or less,” said Nigerian based defender, Godfrey Oboabona.
Russia based forward, Ahmed Musa, said “all we need is just to win that game”.
Musa since his debut has been a consistent player for the Super Eagles.
The team has been camping in Faro since January 5.
On January 16, the Eagles will play their last friendly match against FC Rotterdam in Faro, Cape Verde, before they proceed to the 2013 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in South Africa.
The Super Eagles squad that will make it to South Africa is expected to be announced on Wednesday night, just after the match against Cape Verde.
The match has been scheduled to hold at the St Louis Stadium in Faro, Portugal by 8.55 p.m. Nigerian Time.
Both countries are expected to field a strong squad as the match also coincides with the deadline day for the submission of the final 23-man squad by the Confederation of African Football.
