Nduka Iraboh will head the 13-man committee while Kanu is a member.
A new Interim Management Committee has been appointed for the Nigeria Premier League.
The 13-man committee was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation on Thursday and will plan the 2012-2013 Nigerian Premier League season.
A former Super Eagles Captain, Kanu Nwankwo, was also appointed a member of the board. Embattled NPL administrator who is being investigated for corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Tunji Babalola, is to serve as secretary of the committee.
The other members of the committee are:
Abubakar Nuhu Dan Buran
While Tunji Babalola is Secretary.
The committee’s terms of reference are:
i) Organise the 2012/2013 League.
ii) Review all contractual obligations of the NPL, including TV and Sponsorship rights.
iii) Develop strategy and facilitate the reform of the League towards achieving profitability.
iv) Review existing rules and guidelines for the election into NPL Board.
v) Develop new standards for players’ contracts and welfare.
