It was a 70-68 win in favour of Kano pillars at their last game.
After two close loses, Nigeria’s representative at the African Basketball Champions Cup, Kano Pillars, finally got their season underway with a close win over Egyptian power house, Al Ahly.
Led on the back of a 22 points effort by Abubakar Usman, Kano Pillars withstood some late pressure to seal the all important win. After taking a seven point lead in the fourth quarter, Pillars withstood a fourth quarter comeback by Al Ahly to hold on to win it 70-68. Kano Pillars are currently in fourth place in group B.
