Nigeria Premier League may start December 22

The congress will have to ratify the new date.

The board of the Nigeria Premier League, NPL, met on Friday in Abuja proposing a start date of December 22 for the Nigerian Premier League.

The board’s recommendation will however have to be ratified by the NPL’s congress which is scheduled for December 6. The congress is to be held at the Tahila Hotel in Kano.

The Congress had earlier been suspended indefinitely based on a directive by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The crisis between the two football administrative bodies was however resolved at a meeting on Thursday.
