Nigerian forward, Victor Moses, got his first goal in the English Premier League for Chelsea on Saturday but it was not enough for the Blues to keep top spot as they could only get a 1-1 draw with impressive side, Swansea City.
Moses who has previously scored for Chelsea in the Capital One compettion hit the ground running on Saturday with a 61st minute back header to give the Coach Roberto Di Matteo a chersished lead. Howwever while Chelsea felt they could keep the lone goal lead and collect all the three points at stake, Swansea fought back and got an important equaliser in the 88th minute from a shot off the boots of Henardez.
The 1-1 draaw means Chelsea have given up thier previuolsy held top spot as they have 23 points one behind Manchetser United who had earlier in the day recorded a sweet 2-1 win over Arsenal to now become new leaders.
In other games Totetenham Hotspurs were shocked 0-1 at the White Hart Lane.
B.Watson’s 56th minute goal made all the difference for the Latics as they make movement up the ladder on the EPL table.
Also at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland fell 0-1 to visting Aston Villa with Nigerian born striker Gabriel Agbonlahor getting the only goal in the encounter.
Fulham and Everton ended their duel in a 2-2 draw while Norwich secured a lone goal victory over Stoke City in the day’s last fixture.
