Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Response Agency (LASEMA) have begun a search for a lady who allegedly leapt into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge on Sunday evening.
A video is currently circulating online stating that a lady had parked her Sports Utility Vehicle on the bridge before jumping into the lagoon.
PREMIUM TIMES could not yet confirm the authenticity of that claim.
But an emergency responder told our correspondent that LASEMA officials arrived at the scene of the incident and could not find any SUV.
When contacted, Adesina Tiamiyu, LASEMA’s general manager, told PREMIUM TIMES that the agency is still searching for the lady
“It is a developing story, we are trying to gather our facts together,” Mr Tiamiyu added.
