Some Christians in Osun State are seeking the intervention of God in the election of the next governor of the state.
In the furtherance of the cause, an interdenominational prayer session was held at the Government Technical in Osogbo.
“O Ruler of Nations, open the door for the right person to be the next governor of Osun State and close the door against any enemy of peoples’ welfare and peace in the name of Jesus,” a part of the written prayer, read.
The prayer session also coincided with the Pentecost Day celebration and was attended by Christians from all parts of the state.
They also prayed to God to raise a governor that would preserve every good thing done by the current governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and correct every error that might have been made by him.
Prayers were also made for Nigeria on its security challenges, which has led to the killings of thousands across the country.
The convener, Mike Bamidele, a bishop, who led the prayers, also prayed for Nigerian youth.
