Osun and Ekiti states have confirmed that they have been credited with the third tranche of the Paris Club refunds.
While Osun received N6.3 billion, Ekiti received N4.7 billion.
The Osun State Commissioner for Finance, Bola Oyebanji, who made it known said the Apportionment Committee headed by labour icon, Hassan Sumonu, would sit over the fund and make necessary decision on how the fund would be disbursed.
He said the committee would act quickly to put the fund at the disposal of the entire people of the state.
Speaking on the development, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Adelani Baderinwa, said the availability of the fund at this time was God’s doing.
He said civil servants and the general people of the state would be happy when the N6.3billion was eventually disbursed.
The Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communication and New Media, Lere Olayinka, while commenting on the release of the funds, said the N4.7 billion would be shared between the state and the local governments.
“It is after the money has been shared between the state and the local governments that the stakeholders would sit and decide how it would be disbursed,” Mr. Olayinka said.
