Two yet-to-be-identified women, Friday, died in an auto crash at Maryland, Lagos.
The incident, which occurred at about 2:55 p.m., involved a commercial bus
with registration number KTU 479 XQ.
Adesina Tiamiyu, General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency
Management Authority, LASEMA, said five persons were rescued from the
incident.
“Five persons were rescued and attended to by a joint team of LASAMBUS
and the LASEMA paramedics,” he said.
“Two other female passengers were burnt beyond recognition and were
recovered by LASEMA ERT and handed over to SEHMU for deposition at
Mainland Hospital Morgue.”
He added that the commercial bus had equally been taken to LASTMA Yard, Oshodi.
The LASEMA boss, however, implored road users to drive with care,
adding that proper investigations would be conducted into the incident.
PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the injured passengers had been taken to
the Trauma and Burns Centre, Gbagada, for further treatment.
