A middle-aged woman was on Friday crushed to death by a truck in Adatan area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
The woman was killed while waiting for a taxi at a bus stop, witnesses said.
One witness said the woman was in a company of her child, when she was hit by the truck. Her child narrowly escaped death.
As at the time a PREMIUM TIMES’ correspondent visited the scene, efforts were ongoing to locate the deceased’s family.
The driver of the truck, who narrowly escaped being mobbed, was said to have been apprehended by the police, while remains of the woman were later removed from the scene to be deposited at the morgue.
