The incident occurred on Tuesday at Oke-Ijeun area of the town when a 15-year-old girl, identified as Imisi, went to pick her younger siblings in school.

A witness said the truck, marked 44F 42, belonging to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, was working at a road construction site.

It was gathered that sympathisers, for several hours, prevented the evacuation of the body, while the injured three children were rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the state commissioner of Works and Infrastructure, Olamilekan Adegbite, has visited the scene of the incident.
