The Nigeria Labour Congress, Ogun State Chapter, on Tuesday said it is happy with the re-election of Ibikunle Amosun, the Governor of the State.
The Congress Chairman, Akeem Ambali, made this known at the hall of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, where he held a campaign rally to pitch his second term ambition.
Mr. Ambali said with the re-election of Mr. Amosun, there would be great benefits for the workers and the projects of the union would get adequate attention from the governor in his second term administration.
“We are happy that the governor won election. We are fulfilled and we know it is going to be an added advantage for workers. I am also optimistic that the governor will extend his hands of fellowship to us, particularly in regards number of outstanding projects,” Mr. Ambali said.
Campaigning for his re-election, Mr. Ambali said if returned he would introduce “transportation business” for revenue generation.
In response, the Chairman of the Ogun Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Olujimi Odukoya, said the union supports Mr. Ambali’s second term ambition.
He said Mr. Ambali’s last tenure which lasted four years gained some achievement.
